Our vision

Coaching is an integral part of a thriving society, and every PCA Idaho member represents the highest quality of professional coaching.

Our mission

PCA Idaho is a professional community of coaches fostering the advancement of the coaching profession in Idaho.
It is our intention to become a Chapter of the International Coach Federation (ICF), as soon as we meet the chapter requirements.

Our values

  • Community -- we come together to share our knowledge and experiences to develop our members, profession, and community.
  • Inclusiveness -- we provide a safe, collaborative environment that supports consultation and welcomes different perspectives.
  • Professionalism -- we consistently adhere to the highest personal, professional, and ethical standards. We follow the standards and ethics set by the International Coach Federation.
  • Integrity -- we say what we mean, we do what we say, and we hold unconditional positive regard for members, guests, and clients.
  • Leadership -- we advocate for professional coaching standards, and inspire others to reach their potential.
  • Communication -- we communicate a vision of professional coaching that enhances lives and grows organizations.

Our membership

Individual Membership is open to those:
  • committed to supporting and advancing the vision, mission, and values of PCA Idaho, and
  • committed to following the ethics set by the International Coach Federation.
Membership today does not require being an ICF member. When we apply to become an ICF Chapter, we will adopt policies for Member and Affiliate categories to meet ICF Chapter requirements.

Our history

Longtime coaches Jan Salisbury and Dawn Monroe started our organization in 2011. The group quickly attracted a select group of coaches in the Treasure Valley, holding monthly meetings to advance the coaching profession and support a local community of coaches. In 2015, we developed our first strategic plan and elected our first Board of Directors. We established the group as an Idaho Nonprofit Corporation in April 2016, and are an IRS 501(c)(6) tax exempt organization. Our fiscal year runs from June 1st through May 31st.

Thank you to the following Charter Contributors, whose generous donations supported the launch of PCA Idaho:

Nancy Buffington, Tom Hardison, Terri Hughes, Vicki Lundin-Taylor, Michael Marvosh, Carmen Oldenburg, Bill Rauer, Jan Salisbury, Linda Secretan, David Spann
